Break in Venice, 6th-9th May
To celebrate Christine’s “Big Birthday”, we had three nights in Venice, staying in a lovely B&B hotel, the Ca’ San Polo, named after the sestier or district it‘s located in. These THREE PAGES OF PICTURES have had to be fairly ruthlessly pruned from a very much larger number: Venice is a dream for photography - images chosen not because of any claims for universal quality, but because so many of the pictures reflected walks, waterbus-trips, angles or spots we found intriguing, often captivating. The weather was just great, as you may see in the colours of sky and sunlight on the buildings, down the calle, and along the canals.
Our apologies for a number of drunken-looking horizontals in these snaps - we often had to snap fast between & round the constant press of people.
